Yankees fans send a message to Vlad Guerrero Jr. after shushing the crowd

On Saturday, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a home run off the Yankees, and the Yankees fans were not amused.

Guerrero revealed that he quiets the crowd as he rounds third base following each of his home runs.

Guerrero continued to celebrate the same way even after his home run in the eighth inning pulled the Blue Jays within six runs.

Through an interpreter, Guerrero remarked after the Blue Jays’ 9-8 loss, “It’s something that I do everywhere regardless of the situation,” during Sunday’s third game of the clubs’ three-game series.

Guerrero took a while to reach third base before putting in the move.

The Blue Jays slugger, who hit a 362-foot home run off Luke Weaver to make the score 9-3, was met with a chorus of jeers from Yankee Stadium.

“He always seems to be around third base,” Blue Jays manager John Schneider said to reporters on Saturday. “They don’t boo nobodies here in New York,” I’ve remarked previously.

Guerrero hit his second home run of the season, and he claimed he was beginning to feel more like himself despite his.182 batting average and the fact that both of his RBIs came from his home runs.

Guerrero told reporters, “Better-quality at-bats, definitely, especially the last three at-bats.”

Guerrero’s home run sparked a rally in Toronto that nearly resulted in the Blue Jays taking the game away from the Yankees, even though they were still behind by a significant margin.

In the sixth, Daniel Vogelbach doubled and Ernie Clement sacrifice flyged for two more runs for Toronto.

The Yankees led 9–5 going into the ninth, but the Jays closed the gap with three runs.

The Yankees had the game-tying run at first base, but Clay Holmes got George Springer to strike out on three pitches to seal the victory.

Guerrero had an RBI double and went 1-for-4 in Sunday’s 8-3 Blue Jays loss to the Yankees.
