Twins manager Rocco Baldelli goes on leave to be with his wife for the birth of twins

CHICAGO (AP) — For the most part of his life, Minnesota manager Rocco Baldelli has been surrounded by Twins fans.

He’s going to have a slightly different future.

 

Following the Chicago White Sox’s 7-6 defeat on Saturday, Baldelli took a paternity leave. In a few days, his wife Allie will give birth to twin boys.

“We’re thrilled. Rocco Baldelli remarked, “It’s twins, and we didn’t know what to expect, or even anticipate making it this far.” We’ve essentially reached the conclusion of the term that was assigned to us, which is thrilling and, in my opinion, beneficial for the babies. Since Allie is still feeling fairly well, we’re fortunate.

In 2021, Rocco and Allie tied the knot during the All-Star break.

“At this time, I don’t have any return plans. I’m not sure when that will occur,” Baldelli remarked. “We’ll check in to see how everyone is doing and how Allie is feeling.”

The starting pitchers against the Reds are listed as right-handers Joe Ryan, Kenta Maeda, and Bailey Ober. Baldelli stated that left-hander Dallas Keuchel will be used out of the bullpen for the time being. Keuchel, 35, has three starts in September with an 8.03 ERA and no record.

 

“Right now, we have five guys in the rotation, but that could change,” Baldelli stated. We might end up with five different guys in the end. We might finish up with six men. By the end of the regular season, we might have four players in the lineup. We’re heading
