On September 5th, Bol and Tebogo will face off in Olympic rematches at Weltklasse Zurich

The 200-meter Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo of Botswana and the 400-meter hurdles sensation Femke Bol of the Netherlands will square off at Weltklasse Zurich for the penultimate Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season.

On September 5, Letsile Tebogo, the Olympic 200-meter champion, and Femke Bol, the Dutch 400-meter hurdles bronze medallist, will compete in an Olympic rematch on the track at Weltklasse Zurich for the 14th Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season.

In the men’s 200-meter final in Zurich, Tebogo—who earlier this month became the first-ever Olympic winner for Botswana when he won gold in Paris—will compete against silver medallist Kenny Bednarek and fellow competitor Fred Kerley.

One of the main attractions of the Zurich meeting, which is the last opportunity for athletes to earn points in order to go to the Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels on September 13–14, is expected to be the match between the Botswanan and his American competitors.

Tebogo, who maintained his Olympic form last week with outstanding Wanda Diamond League victories in Lausanne and Silesia, has already purchased his ticket to Belgium.

Ace is hampered Bol’s victory in Silesia has also guaranteed her qualification, but when she competes at the Letzigrund Stadium next month, she will be looking to win the Diamond League for the sixth time in a row.

The Dutch athlete will also compete against Anna Cockrell, her fellow Olympic champion, who defeated her in the 400-meter hurdles final in Paris to win silver.

Bol is still the favorite to win the Diamond League for a 25th time in Zurich, though, as she aims to capture the Diamond Trophy for a record fourth time in Brussels the following month.

The premier one-day meeting series in athletics is called the Wanda Diamond League. It includes fifteen of the most prominent track & field competitions worldwide. At the 14 series meetings, athletes fight for points in an effort to earn a spot in the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final in Brussels on September 13 and 14.
