Oliver Green’s loan to York City has been extended

The young player will remain with the National League team for an additional month thanks to Hull City.

After making the temporary move to York Community Stadium, Green, 20, has made six appearances across all competitions, five of which have been in the league, and he has shown promise in the fifth division.

He is scheduled to return to the MKM Stadium at the end of December after receiving permission to stay with the Minstermen for a longer period of time.

Playing senior football will be more advantageous for Green than playing for Hull’s development team.

The number of players the Tigers currently have available at his position, including Tyler Morton, Jean Michael Seri, and Regan Slater, is obstructing his road to the first team.

The youngster played in a friendly match against Ligue 1 team Nantes last summer and made his debut for Liam Rosenior’s team during the preseason.

Throughout his career, he has been signed by the East Yorkshire team and has advanced through their academy levels.

Green has been a consistent player for Hull throughout the years at all youth levels, although he has yet to make his senior debut.

He has the opportunity to gain additional experience at York while they aim to move up the table in the interim. In the past, he has also gone to Marske United and Bridlington to gain playing time.

His parent team is now sitting in sixth place in the Championship table and is playing fairly well. Their previous game, they defeated Rotherham United 4-1.
