Maxx Crosby Gets a Tough Word from Patrick Mahomes

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby played against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12 and even had a sack despite being hospitalized due to a bad knee infection. Having never missed a game, Crosby was determined to play against Patrick Mahomes.

The two-time MVP is still impressed by Crosby and has some insightful defensive observations.

At his postgame news conference on November 26, Mahomes stated to the media, “I mean, he’s at the top of the list.” “Dude, he’s a dog, really. He showed who he is by playing today, not only because it was against us but also because he wanted to support his teammates.

I really admire him, and they are the kinds of men you want on your squad. People see us trash-talking, of course, but I believe that’s simply the nature of our competition. But I am aware that every time I face him, he will give it everything he has, and I will return the favor. From now on, I anticipate a fierce battle till the very end.

In the end, the Chiefs prevailed 31–17, but Crosby once again showed why he is the greatest tough guy.

In nine games played against Patrick Mahomes in his career, Maxx Crosby is 1-8. For a number of years, the Raiders and Chiefs have had an unfair rivalry. Even though Crosby, a rival, finds that frustrating, he has nothing but admiration for the excellent quarterback.

“We play against each other twice a year and he’s the best in the game,” Crosby said to the media when he was available on November 26. “Although there are disagreements and such between us, ultimately, respect is shown when you see a wonderful person standing opposite you. He always pulls out the best in me, and I do the same for him. For that reason, I love him unconditionally. That doesn’t alter the way I approach him; every time I venture outside, I try to track him down. However, he is aware of that, respects it, and it works both ways.

Since they are the reigning champions, you must play flawlessly from beginning to conclusion. It can’t be the initial quarter alone. We discussed starting quickly, but you also need to end quickly. With the greatest quarterback in the world at your disposal, you have to maintain constant pressure on the accelerator.

Although Crosby and Mahomes get along well, there is unmistakable rivalry between them. For the rivalry between the Raiders and Kansas City to grow stronger, the Raiders simply need to start fighting harder.

Maxx Crosby Says He’s ‘Crazy’

It would never have been the fault of Maxx Crosby to skip the Chiefs game. With the bye week, he would have had an additional week to recuperate. Since he had never missed a game, nobody would have questioned his tenacity.

Crosby doesn’t care how he looks since he just enjoys playing despite everything.

“Life happens,” Crosby remarked. “In general, I’ve been through a lot. I know I’m crazy, but other people have their opinions and think I’m crazy. So, I adore it, and it’s enjoyable.
