Liam Rosenior made his first public statement after being fired by Hull City

Following his firing by Hull City on Tuesday, after serving as the MKM Stadium manager for eighteen months, Liam Rosenior made his first public remarks.

When the Tigers fell 1-0 to Plymouth Argyle on the last day of the season, their chances of making the playoffs were dashed, but the game kept the Pilgrims in the Championship. The former City player, who took over for Shota Arveladze in November 2022, captained his 78th and final match.

It was an honor to manage the club that he represented as a player, according to Rosenior, who met vice-chairman Tan Kesler and owner Acun Ilicali at the MKM Stadium last Tuesday morning to receive the news of his departure. He also expressed his wish that the team will keep moving forward.

The League Managers Association (LMA) released a statement from him, saying, “It has been an honor, a joy, and a pleasure to lead a football club that I love for the last 18 months.”

I express my gratitude to all the staff members, players, and supporters who helped us along the way. I also extend my appreciation to Acun Ilicali and Tan Kesler for having the faith in me to offer me the position as manager at Hull City.

“The tremendous development and expansion of the team during this time, both on and off the field, and the small role I played in it make me extremely proud.” My sincere wish is that the football club’s improved trajectory will continue thanks to everyone’s tireless efforts.

It has been an amazing learning experience to work with Acun, Tan, and his football brain team. I am confident that this club will eventually achieve the success and goal they have long desired because of their dedication, passion, and hard work.

Not only in games, but in every single training session we worked in, I have loved every minute of working with an amazing group of people who gave me trust, spirit, and togetherness. It has been incredible to watch the team and players develop, improve, and grow in an 18-month period, in a style that we believed in. Fantastic folks that I have enjoyed spending time with. constantly in unison.

“I sincerely appreciate the efforts made by all staff members to help the players and myself during this process. They gave it their all.” Getting to work every day was a delight. A unique atmosphere produced by exceptional people. I am grateful.

“And to the followers. I am grateful. Thank you for your love, devotion, and support, both at home and abroad, for the boys and myself.
