Class of 2025 Safety Amidst the multitude of recruits on campus for the West Virginia spring game last weekend was Rashad Johnson (6’1″, 180 lbs) of Bushnell, Florida’s South Sumter High School.
“They display an absurd amount of love.” Johnson said to FanNation after his visit, “They make me feel like a priority.” For the highly sought-after defensive back, the Mountaineers are in an excellent situation. They are trying to set up an official visit date for this summer. Both Penn State (June 7-9) and UCF (June 14–16) have scheduled visits with him at this time.
Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and UCF were among the ten colleges that Johnson listed last week, including West Virginia. Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Oregon State, Liberty, Illinois, Alabama, Maryland, and several other schools were among those who made an offer but were not selected.
With two blocked field goals, one forced fumble, seven pass breakups, six tackles for loss, and one sack in his junior year, Johnson finished with 59 tackles. Despite his versatility as a secondary player, his willingness and skill to play the run efficiently are perhaps the most intriguing aspects of his game.
As of right now, a decision date is not established.superior
