JUST IN:Warriors aim to win against the Titans to make it four victories out of five

As they continue their 2024 comeback, the Warriors will be aiming to make it four wins out of five games against a Titans team that now occupies the bottom half of the NRL standings.

Last weekend, New Zealand lost badly to the Storm, falling short of their potential after a strong first 15 minutes, 38–24. Despite their best efforts, Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, Addin Fonua-Blake, and Jackson Ford were unable to leave their mark due to injuries and Shaun Johnson’s lackluster comeback.

However, that was not as awful as the Gold Coast, who defeated the Tigers 18-10 to earn them their first victory since April. Although Jayden Campbell and Mo Fotuaika excelled and Keano Kini was almost faultless, mistakes prevented them from capitalizing on their field position advantage.

After missing the Titans’ defeat at the hands of the Wests due to an ankle injury, David Fifita is a major in. In the Maroons’ lineup, Keenan Palasia starts at prop with Moeaki Fotuaika, as Klese Haas is sidelined for the match due to injury. Consequently, Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui and Joe Stimson are added to the bench.

Origin has had an extraordinary effect on the Warriors; Mitchell Barnett and Kurt Capewell have been called into the camps of New South Wales and Queensland, respectively. Tohu Harris and Dylan Walker take their places in the starting lineup, and Tom Ale and Jacob Laban are added to the bench. In the centers, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck also makes a comeback from a hamstring injury to take Rocco Berry’s place. Ed Kosi replaces Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, who is suspended, on the wing.

With a point average of slightly less than 22 per game, the Warriors are gradually getting back to the league median. Since the Titans give up more than 28 points per game, they should help this increasing average. The Warriors, who have a 40% victory percentage in the daytime compared to the Titans’ 37.5%, also gain from the 3 p.m. kickoff.
