The Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks 121-89 in the NBA Eastern Conference semi-finals.
Tyrese Haliburton led the way for the hosts with 20 points; T. J. McConnell scored 15 more points off the bench, and Pascal Siakam added 14.
Andrew Nembhard’s late three-pointer propelled the Pacers back into the series on Saturday, after Jalen Brunson sparked the Knicks to a 2-0 lead. With the series equal at 2-2 going into their Tuesday night match at Madison Square Garden, there is now everything to play for.
However, Haliburton insisted that the Pacers were simply doing their job by winning consecutive home games.
“We did our job, they did their job and won two at home, and we did our job and won two at home,” he stated.
“We expect them to unleash a tremendous punch in game five, but we can do it too.
“So, realize, we didn’t do anything spectacular; we simply did our job at home. Now we have to go and win at The Garden.”
The Pacers jumped out to a 34-14 lead in the first quarter, thanks in large part to McConnell’s outstanding effort, which included eleven assists.
The Knicks improved in the second quarter, but the Pacers dominated the game, taking a 69-41 lead at halftime.
