The New York Yankees upgraded top prospect Jasson Domínguez to the 27th spot on their active roster for their Little League Classic matchup with the Detroit Tigers on Sunday night.
This yearly Classic is held near the Little League World Series in South Williamsport and allows teams to bring an extra player.
The 21-year-old Domínguez, who batted.258 before having Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, hit four home runs in eight games for the Yankees the previous season. After the game, the outfielder is anticipated to return to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
