With the acquisition of defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, the Dallas Cowboys strengthened their defensive line, and Phillips is acclimating himself to the team quickly.

After wearing a Cowboys uniform for the first time, Phillips talked candidly about his adjustment to Mike Zimmer’s defensive strategy and his new squad.

Because he was a player under defensive coaches under Zimmer’s coaching staff, Phillips clarifies that he knows what to anticipate.

In exchange for two 2026 draft picks and Phillips, the Cowboys received a sixth-round pick. Carl Lawson, a former edge rusher for the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets, was also signed by the Cowboys.

In his Cowboys debut, Phillips left a lasting impression and has since proven his worth to the team.

Following the roster changes, Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy remarked, “These guys have played, they got pelts on the wall.” “Obviously, they are in different positions and have distinct skill sets. Thus, their expertise level will undoubtedly be a benefit, as with anything.

The 31-year-old was briefly with the Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, and New York Giants before being picked by the Miami Dolphins in the second round out of Oklahoma.
