JUST IN:Jimmy Butler gives fans a cash reward after winning the poker tournament

After the Miami Heat were eliminated from the playoffs by the eventual NBA champion Boston Celtics in the first round in 2023-24, Pat Riley and company may make some major decisions over the summer.

Riley addressed the media after the Heat’s first-round playoff defeat and said the franchise had no plans to trade Jimmy Butler, despite the veteran’s dubious comments, which upset the Heat president.

Despite Riley’s position on Butler’s future with the organization, trade rumors have persisted in recent weeks, leading some to assume he could be traded before the 2024-25 season.

After winning a Legion Hoops poker tournament, Butler handed out money to fans, showing his happiness despite his uncertain NBA future.

Butler didn’t seem concerned about his bank account or summer’s speculation, as he handed fans money without a second thought.

Butler is one of the NBA’s top two-way players, so it will be intriguing to watch what Riley and company do this summer and whether he is in Miami’s long-term plans.
The 76ers are a potential trade partner since general manager Daryl Morey seems to regret trading Butler to the Heat and need another star to play with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
