JUST IN:Former FSU football star set to appear in EA College Football 25

After more than ten years away from the virtual realm, EA Sports’ College Football 25 is finally set to release in less than a week. In order to show off everything the game will have to offer, the developer has been teasering a number of features in the run-up to release.

The ‘Ultimate Team’ game mode in College Football 25 will feature at least one former Florida State player, it was confirmed on Tuesday. Along with a number of other players who have been national stars in recent years, like Michigan’s Blake Corum, Georgia’s Brock Bowers, and Washington’s Michael Penix, defensive end Jared Verse was named one of the Seminoles’ Ultimate Alumni.
While completing challenges to keep strengthening their Ultimate Team, fans will have the opportunity to experience some of the greatest moments on the field.

If other recent Florida State standouts like defensive tackle Braden Fiske, running back Trey Benson, and quarterback Jordan Travis are also included, it wouldn’t be shocking. It’s just too bad that the game wasn’t able to come back one year sooner than anticipated, as it would have meant the ACC Championship team for 2023 would have played in a virtual environment.

Verse started his collegiate career in the FCS at Albany and worked hard for two years in Tallahassee. Along with 18 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, three pass deflections, and 89 tackles, he also recorded 29.5 tackles for loss. Verse won the Bobby Bowden Leadership Award, was an All-American, the FSU Defensive MVP twice, and was selected to the First Team All-ACC two years in a row.

Due to his accomplishments at Florida State and his strong combine performance, Verse was selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the 19th overall pick in the April NFL Draft by the team.
