JUST IN:Darren Ikinnagbon commits to the Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia is enjoying itself greatly in the Garden State for the second year in a row.

For the second year in a row, the Bulldogs have recruited Darren Ikinnagbon, the top-ranked recruit in New Jersey, to their 2025 class. Ikinnagbon told Dawgs247 that he had committed to Georgia on Saturday at the spring game.

The coaching staff is like a family to them. Everything is excellent, even the surroundings,” Ikinnagbon earlier this spring told Dawgs247. “There is a desire to succeed there. They aim to win in all they do down there.”

Ikinnagbon had traveled to Georgia twice already this spring. After visiting with Ikinnagbon early in the season, Georgia’s outside linebackers coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe became interested in the EDGE player. Ikinnagbon made Georgia his favorite as soon as he arrived for a significant junior day.

He said, “They’re No. 1 on my list,” at the moment.

Ikinnagbon is already slated to make an official trip to Georgia from May 31 to June 2.

Ikinnagbon also ranked Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame among other programs highly. As far as players go in the state of New Jersey, Ikinnagbon is the best. Georgia is recruiting him in an EDGE role, where he could play anywhere from a down defensive end to a standup outside linebacker, depending on how his body develops. He is ranked as the No. 12 defensive lineman by 247Sports. Ikinnagbon is ranked 84th overall among players.

In the 2025 class, Ikinnagbon becomes Georgia’s sixth commitment. Along with defensive tackle Stephon Shivers and linebacker Jadon Perlotte, he is the third player on the defensive side of the ball.
