JUST IN:Acun Iliacli gives his verdict on Hull City’s investment

Hull fans have been cautioned by Ilicali that he can only contribute £14 or 15 million to the team this summer because of EFL financial regulations.

He disclosed that although there isn’t enough money for major acquisitions, he will be able to replace any players who depart during the next transfer window.

According to Ilicali, via The Yorkshire Post, “They can only let me spend £14 million, £15 million from my pocket so I’m spending it to the limit.”

“We currently have some assets at our club: Jaden Philogene, Ozan Tufan, and Abdulkadir Omur, who is a very talented player.

I’ll tell you that we don’t have the space to purchase large transfers.

Naturally, we will sign a new player right away if one of our players leaves, but I really don’t want any of my guys to leave because I adore them all.

I believe that in the next two to three weeks, there will be serious proposals since Tan, his vice-chairman, keeps contacting me with this information.

“Unless they come and say they want to go, I will never sell them.

“I suggested that [Keane Lewis] Potter stay home.

It would have benefited both him and us if he had stayed for a full year.

“But, their future is always important to me if they believe they will play and succeed.”
