Byron Murphy II, a defensive tackle, announced his departure for the draft on social media.

Murphy is a Desoto, Texas, native and a junior. This season, he totaled 29 tackles, including three versus Washington, and five sacks.

Running back Jonathan Brooks is anticipated to be selected in addition to Murphy.

This season, Brooks amassed 1,139 running yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. In ten games, he also had 25 receptions for 286 yards and a touchdown before sustaining a ruptured ACL injury that ended his season.

Pete Thamel of ESPN reports that Brooks should be prepared for training camp.
