JUST IN: Latest update on Hull City’s play-off hopes

Hull City’s prospects of earning a play-off spot were hanging by a thread following two games and two defeats during the Easter weekend.

In front of a sold-out, eager crowd at the MKM Stadium on Friday, the Tigers’ disastrous weekend culminated in a no-show against Stoke City, which dropped them six points outside of the top six.

Although Liam Rosenior’s team gave a great performance against Leeds United on Monday, they were unable to secure an equalizer as they conceded again deep into added time after giving up a stupid penalty two minutes before the end of regulation.

The teams directly above the Tigers in the rankings lost, but City was unable to catch up and instead watched another game go by without winning; with seven games remaining, their current winning streak is now at six.

Next up for Rosenior’s team is a trip to Cardiff City on Saturday, who are another team that hasn’t completely given up on making it into the top six. Middlesbrough and QPR will also be playing at home in a week that will significantly impact City’s standing in the race for the top six.

Key topics of conversation on the most recent episode of the 1904 Club podcast featuring Barry Cooper, David Burns, David Prutton, and James Fletcher were the upcoming fixtures and the Easter weekend.
