This week, Hull City and Manchester City will hold talks about attacker Liam Delap’s further recuperation from his knee injury.
Delap has spent the previous several weeks in Portugal undergoing the next phase of his rehabilitation after suffering a knee injury that has prevented him from playing since his trip to Sheffield on New Year’s Day.
The impactful striker has missed the last 11 league games, and his absence has been felt greatly. However, with City aiming for a post-season spot, it is hoped he can still contribute before the season ends. The club is eager to send him to Turkey the following week for their warm-weather training camp at the Regnum Carya hotel in Antalya.
“Liam’s away in Portugal at the moment in the next phase of his rehab, we’re having communication with Man City about him joining us in Turkey, which I think will be great for him,” Rosenior stated to Hull Live.
“Everything must be done with his best interests in mind, so he will accompany us if it is in his best interests both mentally and physically. If not, he will keep going forward, and he is making very, really good development.”
Monday morning, City will depart for Antalya, where one hundred supporters will lodge in a nearby hotel. Rosenior’s players will be training camp participants, and on Thursday afternoon, they will play a friendly against the Curacao national team, which is coached by former Rangers manager Dick Advocaat.
