Liam Rosenior, the head coach of Hull City, is a candidate to win the 2024 EFL Awards Championship manager of the Year. A three-person shortlist for the coveted award includes Rosenior, who has led the Tigers to success in his first full season in command.
In an attempt to maintain their play-off chances, Rosenior’s team travels to Cardiff City on Saturday. Kieran McKenna of Ipswich Town and Daniel Farke of Leeds United are the other contenders. With the Tractor Boys, McKenna is aiming for consecutive promotions, while Farke’s squad is in second place following a stellar 2024.
This season, Rosenior has managed a number of outstanding victories, such as a 1-0 triumph against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in September and a 2-1 victory over promotion-chasing Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium back in February. The Tigers are six points outside of the play-off spots in 10th place with seven games left.
On Sunday, April 14, winners will be revealed during the League’s annual awards presentation in London.
