Since the Chicago Bulls selected him with the seventh overall choice in the 2019 NBA Draft, Coby White has undoubtedly advanced significantly. On Friday night, the former UNC Tar Heel led the Bulls to a 104-91 victory, recording a career-high 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists.

In the triumph, White made three three-pointers, which allowed him to pass Scottie Pippen on the Bulls’ all-time three-point list.

A group of elite shooters

Coby moved up to fourth place in the list with 665 made three-pointers. Leading the list is Kirk Hinrich with 1,049. his current teammate, Zach LaVine, is in second place with 978. Ben Gordon is in third place with 770. White was ecstatic with the achievement.

“It’s a blessing man. I’m blessed to be here. Try not to ever take these moments for granted,” said White.

Carrying the Bulls

White has been playing solid as the Bulls starting point guard this season. In the 36 games that he has played so far, Coby is averaging 17. 8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists a game. In the season, he is shooting 44 percent from the field, and 39 percent from three-point land.

The Bulls have struggled due to player injuries, but White’s steady play has allowed them to hang in there. With a record of 16–21 thus far, Chicago will advance to the Play-In Tournament should the regular season conclude today.

On December 11th, White recorded his highest scoring performance of the season with 33 points in a fierce 129-133 overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
