Josh Heupel, the head coach of Tennessee, may have spent the most time working with quarterback George MacIntyre of Brentwood Academy since he joined the team. Despite toying with a few other names during the cycle, MacIntyre has remained Tennessee’s best choice at quarterback in the 2025 cycle. They haven’t faltered in their decision.
He spoke with On3’s Chad Simmons recently regarding his recruiting, and it appears he will be committing soon. Alabama, LSU, and Tennessee are his top three picks; nevertheless, MacIntyre revealed to Simmons that two stand out. With No. 1 quarterback Bryce Underwood scoring a touchdown on Saturday night, the quarterback dominoes in the class kept falling. As the country’s second-best quarterback, MacIntyre is soon going to be the best uncommitted signal caller.
“MacIntyre has a legitimate case to be 2025’s No. 1 quarterback. The Tennessee native has a big arm, strong athletic traits, and is a Power-5 basketball player. He doesn’t turn the football over and comes from a college-ready system at Brentwood Academy. MacIntyre consistently shows up at top events and throws as well as any other prospect in America. His sophomore tape flashes signs of a potential high-caliber SEC starter. MacIntyre has all the traits that top offenses value. If you keep the football out of harm’s way and can attack defense vertically, chances are you find success at the collegiate level.” Volunteer Country on George MacIntyre”
