Hull City, Middlesbrough, and Leeds United are interested in Sam Curtis, the wonderkid from St. Pat’s

Hull City, Middlesbrough, and Leeds United are pursuing St. Pat’s wonderkid Sam Curtis alongside elite teams, according to 90min.
In the January transfer window, Hull City, Middlesbrough, and Leeds United will all be trying to bolster their rosters. As the New Year draws nearer, targets will already be on the Championship clubs’ minds.

It has now been reported that all three of the second-tier teams have identified Irish talent Sam Curtis as a similar target.

Curtis has already made 60 appearances for League of Ireland team St. Pat’s at the age of 17. In 39 appearances across all competitions in the 2022–2023 season, he played as a right-back or center-back and contributed three goals and three assists.

Consequently, Hull City, Middlesbrough, and Leeds United have all taken notice of him. However, they are not the only fans.

Curtis is reportedly attracting interest from Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Celtic. It is generally anticipated that Curtis will leave St. Pat’s this winter.

For a gifted young player like Curtis, ambitious teams like Leeds United, Middlesbrough, and Hull City would be compelling choices. But considering his senior experience at such an early age and his connections to some of the top teams in the nation, it’s possible that he’s meant to be somewhere.

Curtis has established himself as a vital member of a strong league and has been a consistent member of the age group teams for the Republic of Ireland. He has already played twice for the U21s and is the U18s’ captain.

It’s hard not to believe that a youngster with such a background at the age of 17 is going to sign with a major league team soon. Hull City, Middlesbrough, and Leeds United might be disappointed by that, but maybe not shocked.
