Hull City star Cyrus Christie, thinks his teammates on the Tigers have demonstrated the steely mentality required to keep pushing for the top six, especially as they approach the pivotal Christmas season.

With four wins in a row, City will be seeking to build on their resounding 4-1 victory over Rotherham on Tuesday night and their 2-2 draw at Swansea last Saturday when they take on Watford at the MKM Stadium.

After their thrilling victory in midweek, Liam Rosenior’s team surged back into the top six. They will now aim to maintain that position with a strong run of results leading up to City’s match against Sheffield Wednesday on New Year’s Day.

Prior to making things considerably easier on Tuesday, the Tigers have also had to battle back from losing situations against the Owls, Blackburn, Coventry, Millwall, and Swansea.

With City currently in sixth place in the Championship, one of the most remarkable aspects of their eye-catching start to the season has been their level of spirit and commitment.

“I think we’ve shown character throughout the season but ultimately, we don’t want to keep putting ourselves in that losing position,” he stated to Hull Live. “to constantly need to reenter the gaming world.
