Okwonko, who is still under contract with Arsenal, won’t be around for much longer as he is expected to be free next month.
This has made Wrexham aware, as co-owner McElhenney has revealed that Wrexham and Okwonko are in negotiations regarding Okwonko’s potential transfer from Arsenal. The star of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia stated that Wrexham and the Englishman are in frequent communication in a talkSPORT interview.
After being released by Arsenal, Okwonko had a “very good chance” of returning on a permanent basis, according to McElhenney.
“We’re actively communicating with Arthur at the moment; we want him back in Wrexham and we know he wants to return.” All that needs to be done is figure out the best arrangement that benefits everyone.
