Good Morning Britain welcomes back Susanna Reid following brief absence after family emergency
GMB presenter Susanna Reid was missing from the show on Tuesday with ITV star Ranvir Singh stepping in her place alongside Ed Balls.
Susanna Reid’s return to Good Morning Britain on Wednesday was met with delight from the show’s fans.
The 53 year old presenter had been absent from Tuesday’s programme, resulting in ITV’s Ranvir Singh stepping in with co-host Ed Balls.
At the start of Tuesday’s episode, Ranvir informed viewers about Susanna’s absence, as she stated: “If you’re wondering where Susanna is, one of her boys has been taken ill overnight and she needed to stay with him, so we are here for you this morning.”
However, Susanna was back on air for the midweek edition, posting a behind-the-scenes photo with Ed Balls.
Taking to Twitter, she simply captioning the snap: “MORNING!”
In the picture, while Susanna beams at the camera, Ed can be seen making a comical expression with his eyebrows raised and eyes wide open, reports the Mirror.
Fans quickly took to social media to express their happiness at seeing her back on the show.
One Twitter user said: “What a double act. Keep it going.”
Another added: “Good to see you back this morning Susanna, hope everything’s ok.”
Praising her commitment, one viewer remarked: “Susanna back on duty after yesterday’s family emergency – such a trooper!”
A different fan greeted her saying: “Hallelujah, hello Susanna my lady.”
