Given that Babe’s “called shot” jersey is up for auction at an astounding $12.6 million, what Yankees memorabilia would be the most desirable to own?
In one area where they are constantly felt, the Yankees are in control: the memorabilia market. Last week, Babe Ruth’s “called shot” World Series jersey from Game 3 of the 1932 season brought almost $24 million at auction. Mickey Mantle’s 1952 Topps rookie card set a world record for sports memorabilia when it sold for $12.6 million in 2022.
