Faith Kipyegon continues to improve. Long since establishing herself as the greatest female miler of all time, the 30-year-old Kenyan had one of the greatest seasons in distance running history last year, breaking world records in the mile, 1500, and 5,000 meters and taking home double gold at the World Championships. Kipyegon’s world record for the 1500 in Florence last year, which she set in 3:49.11, was the highlight of her whole performance. It beat Genzebe Dibaba’s previous mark of 3:50.07 by almost a full second and raised the bar for women’s middle-distance running.
