Denzel Ward’s status is unknown as the Cleveland Browns’ injury problem worsens

The Cleveland Browns’ injury list keeps growing. Although the attacking side of the ball has sustained the most of the season’s serious injuries, the plague appears to be spreading to the defensive side more recently. Due to a bicep injury, veteran safety Rodney McLeod was placed on injured reserve by the Browns just this week. In preparation for their Week 12 game against Denver, several of McLeod’s secondary teammates are now sidelined as they begin practice. The most well-known of them all is perhaps star cornerback Denzel Ward, who is reportedly suffering with a shoulder issue that might keep him out of action for several weeks.

Due to a thigh issue, safety Grant Delpit missed practice on Wednesday along with Ward. Juan Thornhill, his co-conspirator, did not play as well because he is still recovering from a calf injury sustained during the team’s victory in Baltimore in Week 10. It will be crucial to keep an eye on how each of those Browns secondary players develops over the course of the week. The “next man up” ethos has served Cleveland well, but as the injuries mount, their fortitude will be put to the test even more. Follow along with the Week 12 injury report by clicking here.
