Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic gives an update on his injury

There is still a chance for the Denver Nuggets to start as the top seed in the Western Conference.

However, they are now outside of the postseason seeding picture.

During the last stretch of the regular season, they may need to occasionally bench Nikola Jokic in order to ensure that he is healthy for the big moments.

The current NBA Finals MVP acknowledged recently that he experiences wrist pain each and every time he shoots (via Harrison Wind).

Jokic, however, brushed down the injury as well, saying he was used to playing despite discomfort.

On his wrist, Nikola Jokic said, “Hopefully, it will get a little bit better so I don’t feel it every time I shoot. However, it’s good. I can handle the pain since I’m used to it. It feels rather typical to me.” tweet.com/J03QoDX5KB

At this time in the season, everyone is hurt.

That being said, the Nuggets shouldn’t disregard this.

They don’t want their two greatest players to be sidelined by injuries when it matters most because they already have to cope with Jamal Murray’s chronic illnesses.

Although they haven’t been as good as they were last year, the Nuggets still stand a good chance to win the NBA championship.

The club led by Mike Malone is prepared for a seven-game series; they have proven themselves in that situation before.

Jokic is still the greatest player in the game, and he never fails to have an impact, even when he’s not playing at his best or having trouble with his shot.

He is the perfect triple-threat player because of his ability to rebound, create plays, and see right past defenders. Hopefully, this lingering pain won’t affect his play in the playoffs.
