Crystal Palace gives verdict on Michael Olise injury ahead of Man City game

Oliver Glasner has indicated that Michael Olise might be ready to play in Crystal Palace’s match against Manchester City.

Palace visit City at Selhurst Park in Saturday’s early kick-off in what is a significant showdown at both ends of the Premier League league.

With just three points separating them from title contenders Liverpool and Arsenal, the Citizens are now in third place.

In the meantime, the Eagles’ 1-0 loss at Bournemouth on Tuesday night has dropped them to 14th place, eight points above the relegation zone.

Despite several strong performances, Glasner has only triumphed once in his first five games since taking Roy Hodgson’s place, according to this outcome.

All season long, Palace has been beset by a severe injury crisis. Players like Chris Richards, Marc Guehi, Olise, and Cheick Doucoure have been sidelined, with the latter missing two to three weeks due to an injury sustained prior to the trip to Bournemouth.

However, the South Londoners have received a significant boost ahead of the City match, as Glasner revealed that talisman Olise may return in time to play, albeit he has cautioned that it will only be for a little period of time.

According to Glasner, the winger “should be fit enough to play a part against Man City,” according to BBC 5 Live Sport. The gamer is eager to return, but they must exercise caution because it will only be for twenty minutes.

Due to multiple hamstring problems, the 22-year-old has only made 11 Premier League games this season, but in that brief time, he has contributed three assists and six goals.

After being hurried back into action against Brighton, his injury reappeared, and he hasn’t played since the beginning of February.

Since then, the young French player has been linked to a lucrative transfer to either Manchester United, Chelsea, or Liverpool. His contract features a release clause that is expected to activate in the summer.

Glasner declared following the Palace defeat to Bornemouth that “if you don’t score a goal you can’t win” and that his only goal going forward is to improve his team. We were in a lot of favorable circumstances. You must fire. Maybe we should work on being more decisive when we’re in an offensive position.

“The game was determined by a Bournemouth situation, and we failed to score. If there were no scenarios for us to score, then is when I would be concerned. We had a great second half of play, but we need to be more direct and stop throwing the ball back and forth. Make the shots.

Next up for us is Manchester City. We won’t have a lot of possession in this game when they come to Selhurst. We may have three or four opportunities, but we must use them wisely. You can lose everywhere if you are inefficient.
