Marc Guéhi has stated that he intends to play again over the last few weeks of Palace’s campaign.
The center defender hasn’t been able to play since suffering a knee injury against Brighton & Hove Albion in early February.
During his news conference last week, manager Oliver Glasner stated of Guéhi, “[Marc] is not training with the team at the moment.” He will be gone for at least two or three weeks, in my opinion.
The England international also repeated his new manager’s ambitions in an interview with TNT Sports prior to Palace’s Saturday loss to Manchester City, saying he will return for the latter part of 2023–2024 and the summer’s European Championships.
Regarding his recuperation, Guéhi stated, “It’s going well, thank you.” “I’m fortunate to have kind folks in my life that look out for me. The team, my family, and the physiotherapists have all been there for me. I’m incredibly lucky that everything is going smoothly.
“That’s the plan, to return before the season ends.” I’m hoping to return and support the guys in the final games. Really, all I want is to go back and play.
“Obviously, like you say, it’s in the back of my mind, but I’m just really focusing on the injury and making sure that my knee is good,” Guéhi continued when speaking about the Euros.
It’s crucial, in my opinion, to have perspective while playing the game and to pay attention to both the long and short terms. Additionally, I’m making sure that I feel well when I return.
Guéhi has had the opportunity to closely examine his new manager’s training ground tactics because he hasn’t yet made an appearance under Glasner.
Guéhi chuckled when asked to describe his influence, saying, “There’s a lot of running! Yes, quite a bit of running! Still, I believe it’s good. That passion and intensity have been essential to our game.
The game’s details require a lot of work. Naturally, I don’t want to reveal too much, but there are a lot of specifics. That, in my opinion, will benefit the boys.
particularly in the previous few matches. It’s been regrettable, in my opinion, at times. Although I believe we’ve performed well, I believe we have ourselves to blame for the few games [prior to Man City] that we haven’t won.
“I believe we’ve demonstrated in a game some of the things the manager wants us to perform. All we’re lacking is that cutting edge.
