Coby Black, the probable replacement of Adam Reynolds with the Brisbane Broncos, has inked a new contract that will keep him there for the next two seasons.
Coby Black is well-liked in rugby league circles and is expected to succeed Adam Reynolds as the Brisbane Broncos’ starting halfback when he decides to put up his boots.
Black, an U19s QLD representative, was scouted by the Broncos at the age of twelve. A number of mentors, including Issac Luke, Darren Nicholls, Nathan Cleary, and Sean O’Sullivan, have assisted Black in growing as a player.
The halfback, who hasn’t yet made his NRL first-grade debut, has been playing for the Souths Logan Magpies in the QLD Cup and made headlines earlier this year when he scored 46 points in one game during the Mal Meninga Cup.
Coby Black signed a new two-year contract with the Brisbane Broncos, extending his stay with the team into the end of the 2026 NRL season. He was originally signed on a development contract that expired at the end of this season.
