BREAKING:Hull City star set to leave amid interest from Turkish club

Based on the most recent information provided by Turkish reporter Ertan Süzgün, Ozan Tufan appears to be leaving Hull City for Trabzonspor this summer.

According to the journalist’s social media post on Friday afternoon, the player and the Super Liga team have reached an agreement, and after discussions, the Tigers have made progress.

After spending the summer of 2022 on loan at Watford, the striker transferred to the MKM Stadium, ending his three-year stay in English football. He would now play for the 21/22 Turkish Champions.

In the previous season, the 29-year-old scored ten goals in the league for the Humberside team and contributed two more assists as they just missed out on the Championship playoffs.

With 79 appearances in his two campaigns with his current team, Tufan has established himself as a constant in the Tigers’ front line since moving to the northeast in July 2022.

The Turk, who scored eight goals in his first full English football season, went on to score in double figures in the most recent campaign. His tenth goal of the year came in the exciting 3-3 draw with Ipswich Town in the penultimate week of the season.

In August of last year, the forward scored four goals in a row against Sheffield Wednesday to give his campaign the perfect start. Shortly before Christmas, he scored three goals in a row.

West Ham United, a Premier League team, was rumored to be interested in the striker earlier in the year, but Trabzonspor is now supposedly leading the charge to sign him for the next campaign.

Süzgün provided the following update on X, which has been translated into English: “Trabzonspor and the player have agreed on all matters regarding Ozan Tufan’s transfer.
