Mal Waldrep declared his verbal commitment to play football for Alabama.
Waldrep graduated from Phenix City, Alabama’s Central Phenix City High School. Right now, he receives three stars from a number of recruiting websites.
Tennessee, Florida, Clemson, and Alabama were passed over by the in-state recruit. During an official visit over the weekend, Alabama completed the agreement.
Waldrep lines up at left tackle for the Red Devils at 6 feet 5 inches and 295 pounds. He’s proven to be incredibly agile and strong enough to finish blocks with his strength. The 2025 prospect believes he can contribute to the offensive line anywhere.
