According to a recent rumor from Calciomercato, Aston Villa is in talks to sign Denzel Dumfries, a wide winger for Inter Milan, this summer. The Villans are reportedly in talks with the Italian team about a potential agreement to sign the talented Dutch player later this year.
Dumfries put in a number of strong performances on the right side of Inter’s midfield, and he enjoyed a successful season at San Siro. Across several categories, the Dutch wonder played in 36 games for the Italian team last season, scoring four goals and dishing out six assists.
With 0.7 tackles, 0.8 clearances, 0.8 shoots, 0.9 crucial passes, 0.5 crosses, and 0.5 dribbles per game in Serie A, the 28-year-old performed admirably. According to statistics provided by Whoscored, he even had an accuracy of 80.9% when it came to passing in the Italian first division when distributing possession from the right side.
His current deal with the Italian team expires at the end of the following campaign, therefore Aston Villa may be able to recruit him for a reduced price during this transfer window.
