With promotion to League One, Wrexham might finally have the opportunity to sign their ideal player.
The Red Dragons have secured consecutive promotions and will compete in the third tier of professional baseball following their fifteen-year stint in the National League.
Since the team may only have 22 players registered for League One, there have been several noteworthy exits from the squad.
However, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds will provide Wrexham with significant financial support, and the team will still have one of the biggest salary bills in League One.
When it comes to new hires, they can look to the free agency market, since one significant player who was previously expected to sign is now open for business.
When Ben Foster was a Wrexham player last year, he attempted to get in touch with his old teammate Nani during his Soccer Aid vlog at Old Trafford.
Foster made a bold attempt to sign the former Manchester United winger, who was participating in the charity match, to the Welsh team.
Foster remarked, “Nani hasn’t got a club everybody.”
“I think he should come to Wrexham…”
With a “You never know” response, the former Portugal international made Foster laugh so hard that he had to brand him a “liar”.
At the time, Nani had just returned from an ACL tear that had forced him to leave Melbourne Victory in the Australian A-League after only one season.
After everything, he rejoined Adana Demirspor in Turkey, where he made 34 appearances across all competitions and netted four goals.
Although it has been verified that he has left the club, Nani is still in amazing shape and does not intend to put up his boots just yet.
“I would like to announce that I have amicably terminated my contract with Adana Demirspor with immediate effect,” he wrote in an official statement posted on his X account.
“I want to express my gratitude to the supporters. I’ll now think about what actions to do next for my playing career.”
