Breaking News:Liam Rosenior gives his verdict on Liam Delap’s return

Liam Delap, who sustained a long-term injury, will be joining the team very soon, according to Liam Rosenior.

After the striker’s absence since New Year’s Day, the head coach shared the good news during his pre-match press conference prior to the trip to Cardiff City.

He will return; I’ve been told for a few days that it will happen on the eighth of April. I’m excited about it,” Rosenior remarked.

“After three months out, Andrew Balderston is handling everything, but when he returns, it will be like a new signing. The last I heard, he will be returning to practice with us on the 8th, but Middlesbrough will be too soon for him. I am aware that Andrew and Manchester City communicate frequently.

With an emphasis on the journey to the capital of Wales, Rosenior disclosed the health status of Ryan Giles and captain Lewie Coyle in relation to their injuries sustained on Easter Monday against Leeds United.

“I’m giving them as much time as possible to heal from their wounds. We want to give them as much time as possible because Lewie has suffered a serious blow to his torso and “Gilo” is experiencing some pain in his groin. If they are unable to play, I thought Regan Slater was excellent at right-back. Outstanding in his performance against the league’s top left winger, who is vying for Player of the Year, Slater went out there and gave it his all.

“In the absence of ‘Greavesy,’ Kyle excelled at center-half, and ‘Gilo’ is an excellent player.” Matty Jacob brought something special to our game when he went onto the field because of his demeanor.

“Matty is an excellent football player. He is a capable defender, and in fact, it was a brilliant challenge from him from about the halfway line that gave us our best opportunity of the second half. He is another local youngster who is making a name for himself. He loves this club and puts himself into tackles. In the last ten minutes, Cyrus (Christie) entered and made a few really significant interventions; I have a strong team.

Along with giving a brief team report, the head coach is happy to have the important defender back following his suspension. Jacob Greaves is back.

As a left-sider, I think he is the greatest center-half in the league. Greavesy is going to play, and I’m looking forward to having him back,” Rosenior said. “Any team in the Championship would miss him.”

“There are no new injuries, but Billy (Sharp) felt some tightness in his muscles a few days ago, so he wasn’t in full training on Thursday. Hopefully, he will be back in full training on Friday.”
