Breaking News:Hull City are still pushing hard to sign another Anfield player

After Tyler Morton and Fabio Carvalho’s excellent loan stints, Hull City is ready to build on their good relationship with Liverpool by pursuing yet another talented Anfield player.

Morton played with Humberside for the whole 2023–24 season, making 39 appearances, tallying three goals, and dishing out five assists.

Carvalho, on the other hand, joined him there in January following a disappointing stint at RB Leipzig, when he scored nine goals and provided two assists in just twenty games.

The Hull Daily Mail now claims that the Tigers are hoping to sign James McConnell for a season-long loan in order to provide the promising midfield player with regular Championship football and a comparable environment in which to hone his skills.

Before joining Liverpool, the 19-year-old started his career at Sunderland’s academy. Last October, in a 5-1 victory over Toulouse, he had a memorable debut in the Europa League group stages.

Subsequently, he played in Liverpool’s EFL Cup final victory over Chelsea at Wembley and made his Premier League debut in a 3-0 victory against Brentford at Anfield.

Nevertheless, after the Reds’ mid-season injury problem eventually subsided, the center midfielder has largely appeared in youth team games despite his encouraging displays.

HULL CITY IS GOING TO HAVE A SQUAD REHABILITATION

At the MKM Stadium, Hull City is gearing up for a major summer makeover. A new manager is likely to be named soon, and a sizable influx of new players is planned.

To cover the voids caused by previous departures, the club intends to add up to ten new players, and loan acquisitions are anticipated to remain a key component of Hull City’s transfer strategy.

With the help of the loan system, the team was able to sign talented players like Liam Delap, Anass Zaroury, Ryan Giles, and Noah Ohio in addition to Morton and Carvalho last season.

Moving McConnell on loan to a team that has experience developing young players at Liverpool might be the best course of action for everyone involved.
