Breaking News:Hull City are interested in signing Liverpool youngster James McConnell

In preparation for the upcoming campaign, Hull City is hoping to recruit gifted Liverpool youth player James McConnell to a loan.

Liam Rosenior was unexpectedly fired earlier this month, which was a costly way for the Tigers to complete the season without earning a play-off spot on the last day of the season.

Hull is going through a lot of upheaval this summer, and Acun Ilicali’s top priority right now is hiring a new manager.

Since many of the players this season were on loan, the recruiting staff will be looking for methods to strengthen the lineup. Hull will likely have a busy summer ahead of them.

Among them were Tyler Morton, who played the entire season for Hull from the Anfield team, and Fabio Carvalho, who signed from Liverpool in January.
Additionally, it seems like the Championship team is hoping to capitalize on their newfound bond, since reporter Alan Nixon has disclosed that McConnell may be joining the Tigers.

After joining Anfield at the U15 level from Sunderland, the 19-year-old midfielder is highly regarded at the club. This season has been good for the player as he has made his debut.

McConnell made his debut for Liverpool in a 5-1 Europa League victory over Toulouse. He would go on to play in 11 games overall, three of which were in the league.

But without a question, his most memorable performance occurred during the League Cup final victory over Chelsea in February.

Jürgen Klopp was forced to rely on a number of young players due to the large number of injuries. McConnell entered the game late but helped the Reds take control in extra time, eventually winning the cup thanks to a goal from Virgil van Dijk.

Although McConnell would have had a fantastic day, he will realize that, in the long run, he will need to move out on loan in order to gain more playing time.
