Breaking News:A fresh lawsuit against the Cardinals by an Ex-Cardinals director

A new lawsuit against the Arizona Cardinals has been launched by a former executive who was recently awarded millions of dollars in damages by an NFL arbitrator.

The Cardinals suspended former general manager Steve Keim for DUI and using burner phones to converse “under the radar,” which is where it all began.

Terry McDonough, the former director of player personnel for the Cardinals, along with his spouse and daughter, filed a case in an Arizonan court against the team, owner Michael Bidwill, his legal counsel, and a public relations firm that Bidwill employed.

According to the lawsuit, Bidwill tried to gather evidence against McDonough to bolster claims of widespread adultery, illicit drug use, drunk driving, and other criminal offenses.

The family alleges that emotional hardship was purposefully caused.

The NFL arbitrator procedure operates in secrecy. A state case cannot be transferred to federal court, where corporate defendants typically do better, and this case may become public record.

There is some worry that the NFL may punish the Cardinals, but we probably won’t know before the draft, which is set for April 25.
