Breaking News: Denver Nuggets cancel White House visit

The Denver Nuggets have declined an invitation to visit the White House and the current President as champions, choosing instead to concentrate on the regular season.

“The No. 1 seed is the Denver Nuggets’ top priority. They want to put in all effort to advance to that position for the postseason. About how serious they are about that goal, I have a story. The Biden Administration encountered a schedule difficulty, thus the defending champions were unable to visit the White House in late January as planned. The visit was rescheduled for March 18th somewhere in February. On March 19, they go to Minnesota to play the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In order to give that Minnesota game top priority and secure the No. 1 seed, the Nuggets had to make the difficult decision to postpone their trip to the White House.”

The Nuggets play in Minnesota on March 19, so there isn’t any political motivation at play here. The team’s next assignment was to go to Washington, D.C., and then Minnesota for a crucial game after playing the Dallas Mavericks on March 17. It’s unfortunate that the visit was unable to take place in January as planned.
