Tottenham Hotspur is considering signing Takefusa Kubo, a winger at Real Sociedad.
The 23-year-old has been connected to a move out of La Liga, and according to Spanish reports (via TEAMtalk), Tottenham has now made an official bid to sign the player.
It would be interesting to see if Real Sociedad accepts the reportedly €50 million offer from the North London club for the player. The player’s contract contains a release clause of €60 million.
Kubo will give the Tottenham attack some much-needed depth and cutting edge. He was among the league’s top offensive midfielders last season. He will provide the side goals and inventiveness because he is adaptable enough to play on either flank. He is also among the finest dribblers in the Spanish league, which will give the Tottenham assault some further unpredictability. This past season, he finished all competitions with seven goals and five assists.
Although Aston Villa is also eager to sign the youngster, it is unclear if they will be able to outbid Tottenham for his services. They have qualified for the Champions League for the upcoming campaign, and Unai Emery is trying to assemble a strong team.
The Japanese international will have an intriguing opportunity to join the Premier League, and it will be interesting to watch where he ends up.
