Suspect in Darlington Co. 911 dispatcher’s death was victim’s longtime boyfriend, friend says
Darlington County 911 dispatcher, Bethanylynn Shaw, 21, was the victim of a deadly shooting Wednesday night, according to Darlington County Coroner J. Todd Hardee.
Brandon Dewitt was arrested for Shaw’s death and charged with murder, unlawfully placing a child at risk or causing harm and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
One friend, who wished to remain anonymous, said Dewitt was Shaw’s longtime boyfriend, and she wants to know what led up to the shooting that claimed her friend’s life.
