Newcastle United will face Manchester City without several key players due to injuries. Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles remain sidelined with long-term ACL injuries, while Callum Wilson (hamstring) and Lewis Miley (metatarsal) are also out until after the October international break.

Eddie Howe has confirmed that left-back Matt Targett will not play due to a flare-up of eczema, which has kept him from the last two matchday squads. Howe mentioned that Targett has been nursing a severe episode but hopes he can return to training soon.

Additionally, Alexander Isak is a doubt for the match due to a recurring toe injury. He required an injection to play against Fulham but experienced discomfort towards the end of that game. Howe indicated that Isak’s participation remains uncertain as they assess his condition.
