Indiana Fever Dealt Tough Injury Blow Ahead of Sparks Matchup
The Indiana Fever have been on a roll as of late, as they won six of their past seven games heading into their Wednesday night contest against the Los Angeles Sparks. They were dealt a concerning injury update on Tuesday, though, when key rotation piece Temi Fagbenle was labeled as questionable for the game due to a right shoulder injury. Fagbenle has become an important contributor off the bench for the Fever this season, so losing her, even for a game, would be a tough blow for the team. And unfortunately, it appears as if they are going to have to adapt on the fly, because Fagbenle has been ruled out for Indiana’s game against Los Angeles.
The good news for Fagbenle and the Fever is that it doesn’t seem like her injury is serious, but obviously, the team would rather she be on the floor as much as possible. Staying on the court has been an issue for Fagbenle this season, but as long as she can suit up for the postseason, that’s all that will matter for the Fever.
For the time being, though, they will have to figure out how to get by without the veteran center, and it will be interesting to see if the Sparks give them any trouble in this game.
