ITV GMB’s Susanna Reid says she feels ‘sick’ as she returns to show

Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid admitted she felt sick as the programme’s producer was able to buy five zombie knives online without providing ID at the point of purchase or delivery

Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid openly admitted feeling queasy during the broadcast on Monday. The segment that stirred discomfort was an investigation into the ease of purchasing zombie knives via the internet.

Susanna’s shock was palpable after it was revealed the show’s producer had successfully purchased five such knives from a variety of online sellers without being asked for identification upon delivery or purchase. She expressed her astonishment in the studio, saying: “It is absolutely gobsmacking that any of those weapons could be brought online, legally.”

Feeling the weight of the weapons’ presence, she confessed: “It makes me feel sick, our producer brought them into the studio a little bit earlier, I felt ill just being in the presence of them.”

Addressing GMB viewers, Susanna informed them about the legal status of the weapons, mentioning that only two of these would become illegal in the coming weeks, reports the Mirror.

The programme featured a conversation with Pooja Kanda, who tragically lost her son Ronan to an attack by a ninja sword, a weapon currently excluded from proposed bans. Pooja spoke passionately against them, questioning: “Why do we need these types of weapons? Why are we making them available? I can’t find the reason. All I want is for these to be banned.”

The episode marked Susanna’s return to GMB after a significant time off-screen, having announced her summer break in July and leaving viewers in the hands of various stand-in presenters. Audience anticipation turned into excitement as they welcomed Susanna’s return to the screen alongside her fellow presenter.
