Just as things were hotting up, the ITV host was forced to cut the debate short

Kate Garraway, the seasoned presenter of ITV’s Good Morning Britain, didn’t shy away from interjecting during a heated debate on the latest show, providing viewers with an important update. The experienced host, 57, led Friday’s show alongside co-host Adil Ray. They delved into the day’s top stories and political debates, including former MP Ed Vaizey among others, and things quickly escalated.

The discussion swiftly shifted to the far-right movements in the country, following riots that erupted in cities after the Southport stabbing last month. However, amidst the lively conversation, Kate promptly stepped in to stop her guests, announcing: “We’re out of time which means we haven’t got time to tell you lying in on the weekend is healthy for you!”

Kate went on to say: “You’re officially less likely to develop heart disease. Lie in tomorrow, everybody,” reports the Express. “Good Morning Britain isn’t on air and you can sleep in because apparently it’s very good for you! There you go.”

In other news, the show’s coverage of Pr ince Harry and William reuniting at their uncle Lord Robert Fellowes’s funeral sparked backlash from viewers. Kate and Adil chatted with senior news correspondent Richard Gaisford, who was reporting live from Windsor Castle, as he gave them a rundown of what transpired between the estranged brothers.

It seems that although Prince Harry and Prince William attended the same event, there was no interaction between them, with both opting for understated arrivals. Royal commentator Richard commented: “It seems they both made very discreet entrances, not together, sitting at the back of the church.”

“[They were] not seen talking to each other but were certainly both there for the service. Normally you would expect Royal photographers to be out en masse for an event like this, [but] no pictures of the two of them emerging after the service either.”
