Dina Asher-Smith and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce bounced back from their Olympic Games defeat to look stunning in a British Vogue photo shoot.
Fraser-Pryce was expecting for a stronger performance in her final Olympic Games, but sadly, things did not go as planned in Paris. A few minutes prior to the race, the three-time Olympic winner withdrew from the women’s 100-meter semifinal.
After placing second in the women’s first round behind the fastest woman in Africa, Marie Josee Ta Lou-Smith, she proceeded with ease to the semifinals. Fraser-Pryce withdrew from the women’s 4×100-meter relay as well.
Asher-Smith, for her part, was unable to have an effect in the women’s 100 and 200 meters. The British runner in the women’s 100m failed to advance to the final, finishing fifth in the semifinal.
Asher-Smith advanced to the final of the women’s 200m, but she was unable to have an effect, after finishing second in the semifinal. In the end, the 28-year-old came in fourth. She recovered to help Team Britain defeat Team USA in the women’s 4×100-meter relay, taking home a silver medal.
