Keelon Russell, a 2025 quarterback prospect from Texas’ Duncanville High School, has committed to Alabama as of right now. After winning the Elite 11 MVP Award last month, he is currently ranked as a five-star prospect by two major recruiting agencies and could soon be a consensus five-star recruit.
Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young was the last unanimous five-star quarterback to sign and play for the Crimson Tide. Young was a junior.
Over the past few weeks, Russell has received practically endless adulation. Brad Stanfield, who previously worked with Jalen Milore and a number of other Texas quarterbacks, is quite complimentary of the Tide commit.
Stanfield stated, “I think he can be as good as or better than any throwing quarterback Alabama has ever had.”
