BREAKING:Caitlin Clark decides on WNBA All-Star 3-point contest participation

Caitlin Clark has declined to say if she will participate in the WNBA All-Star game’s 3-point competition.

The news that Clark and Angel Reese will be playing together on the All-Star squad versus the A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart-led U.S. Olympic team was released earlier this week.

The 12 coaches in the league, together with representatives from the media, players, and fans, cast their ballots to choose which rookies would participate in the game on July 20 in Phoenix. In the history of the league, this is the 20th All-Star Game.

With 700,735 votes, Clark received the most votes from the public. Her Indiana colleague Aliyah Boston came in second with 72,000 votes. With 381,518 votes, Reese came in fifth.

However, when asked on Friday if she will participate in the 3-point competition in Arizona, Clark remained evasive. Clark’s famed 3-point shooting is one of the reasons she is so well-liked by fans.

Reporters were told by her: “We’ll see, remains to be seen.”

“I’m not sure yet.” I can’t respond to all of your questions today.

The evening before the All-Star game, the league will have a 3-point challenge and a skill competition.

If Clark were to enter the game, she would be among the favorites to win because she had an amazing 37.8 3-point percentage at Iowa the previous season.

As of this now, her Fever conversion rate is 33.7%.

Regarding being selected for the All-Star squad, Clark continued, saying, “That’s really awesome.”

“I believe that it’s also extremely difficult for a franchise to get three of their own players to be there together, especially with Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston.” You shouldn’t take anything for granted.
